VALUES

A few little things that form a big part of my processes and intentions for Paxxy & Flora.

AS LOCAL AS CAN BE

P&F is not just Aussie or locally made, it’s Cas made. And that means that you get to know exactly where, how and by whom your products were brought to life. Your support of P&F then goes on to support the other small and local businesses that I purchase from, from clay and product supplies through to coffee.

An added benefit of being a super local brand? You can follow the entire journey of designing, making, mixing glazes, packing orders and more on my socials, and I think that is pretty cool!

MINIMAL WASTE

Each collection is created in small batches and restocked as required to reduce the risk of overproduction. During the making process I also repurpose clay scraps into other items in the ‘Pieces for the Planet’ range.

Any pieces that break during the process or don’t turn out are kept and used around the studio for all sorts of things from glaze and pattern sampling, to water dishes or kiln catch plates.

And then there’s the little things like repurposing packaging materials, recycling all clay scraps and using rainwater, because every little bit we do to help our planet counts.

SHOPPING WITH INTENTION

In a world that is so saturated with things and ‘I’ll just buy a new one’ mindsets, I always set out to create pieces that are here for the long haul, both in style and quality. I strongly believe in purchasing with intention and will always assist and encourage you to do the same. Finding pieces that you truly connect with not only reduces unnecessary waste down the track when trends change, but it’s the first step in creating a space full of items you genuinely love.
